Outtakes and favorities from 30 Days of Photographs III

The best part of any blog challenge are the people, the comments, the images they've posted, the moments we have shared in this blink of time.  Many thanks to the hosts of this event.

OUTTAKES

My first picture on self-timer for the topic of hair.  Guess I could have used it as my impression of a broken dolly.

A gratitious picture of my CAT.

October has been my month of travel.  I did have a little snafu at the Sacramento airport ~ seems I packed a bit too much!

This lovely is a painting on the side of the outside kiosk at House of Blues in Downtown Disney.

On to my favorites of 30 Days of Photographs III.  All of the images by the participants are worth a visit.

Ziva at Ziva's Inferno, her interpretation of "Sour."

The Artful Diva's posting on hair-today-gone-tomorrow.

Image and resulting story posted by Moonlight Hollow on the subject of "stalker."

Laughingmom's photo of five.

Day 30 of 30 days of photographs (Blackout)

I so love these online editing programs.  This is my submission for the "blackout" topic.  The original image is posted below.

Oh, and this video - posting just for the hellavit, I'm feeling sorta tropical.

And I've thrown in Darth Vader, from Disneyland, just for good measure ...

Monstrous Monday and Day 29 of the 30 days of photographs (The City)

There is nothing scarier than a monster from a traveling fair ...

AUTUMN

Magnificent autumn!  He comes not like a pilgrim, clad in russet weeds; not like a hermit, clad in gray; but like a warrior with the stain of blood on his brazen mail. -- His crimson scarf rent; his scarlet banner dripping with gore; his step like a flail on the threshing floor.

There are over 70 bloggers participating in this hop.

A fair is a city unto itself and to satisfy the photo challenge topic of "The City," I have included other images captured at the Puyallup Fair in Western Washington from last month.

Day 28 of 30 days of photographs (Autumn) and a Halloween Hop

It isn't autumn in the foothills without turkeys in the garden.  I know I've broken some kind of challenge rule posting a bird picture, but at least they are not pretty birds.  Count the total turkeys and you win a prize.

NOT

Might as well break all the rules on this post, I give you CAT - Madalin chillin in the Halloween tree (that almost sounds like it should be a song).

Images from earlier this month taken at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.

This doll creeped me out but fascinated me at the same time.  There was so much to see.  The Disney elves must have been working overtime decorating for this time of year.

You had to look UP to see all of the fall banners and pumpkins on the ledge at the Carnation Cafe.

Trick and Treats cupcake ceramics.

Halloween is right around the corner!

Day 27 of 30 days of photographs (Kafkaesque) and a 5th Annual Halloween Party

I am not even going to attempt to explain this photo other than it is posted for the challenge topic of "kafkaesque."  I had absolutely no idea how to load those arrows onto the arrow-shooting thingee.

Just a few days left in this photography non-challenge, please visit my Little House On The Prairie podners.

Apologies to those Fanciful Twist readers who hit on this post and wonder "what have I linked into?"

Moving right along to a blog-hopping party.  Linking to A Fancifult Twist for her 5th Annual Halloween festivities.  Vanessa is Martha-Stewart scary with her creativity.

Little did I know that Disneyland decorates for Halloween - here are some fun images from my Anaheim trip earlier this month.

Thrift Town Halloween bear - so proud of myself, the bear didn't come home with me ...

Ya'll come back now, ya hear?

Day 26 of 30 days of photographs (Heart)

Sometimes the image for the topic just sort of happens ...

This heart-shaped onion ring was part of a yummy meal earlier this month at Perkos in Jackson, California.  While this post is quite spare, my next five posts are chock-full of good stuff - I am pulling out all the stops on the downhill slide for 30 Days of Photographs III.

Have a heart and visit the other photog challenge participants zivainferno.

Day 25 of 30 days of photographs (Video)

I give up on trying to post something of my own.  I've been struggling with the YouTube editor all morning.  I want my creation to be "view worthy."  Please visit the other photo challenge participants at Ziva's Inferno

I discovered this blogger during one of my late night blog wanderings http://bernthis.com/wordpress/.    What a character!

I so enjoy receiving things in the mail, especially free things, especially handmade things.  This darling creation is from UK blogger Julie at Pippinsnest.

Day 24 of 30 days of photographs (M&Ms) and Rednesday

Are there M&Ms in your future?

I've gotten some mileage out of this prop this month - it made an appearance in my Le-mysterieux-carnival post.  When I saw the toy fortune teller, I knew it would be perfect for this post.

To see the other M&M munchers.

Day 23 of 30 days of photographs (Underwater) and blue ~

Sashimi, my Siamese fighting fish, most def underwater and blue.  My fellow photogs who are underwater.

My house in midtown Sacramento - underwater, let's see what the BANK will do.  It is enough to make one  blue.

"In the lives of the saddest of us there are bright days when we feel as if we could take the great world in our arms. Then come the gloomy hours, when all without and within is dismal, cold, and dark.  Believe me, every heart has its secret sorrows, which the world knows not; and oftentimes we call a man cold when he is only sad."
