International Fake Journal Month and The Blogging Big Time

My "I" letter day is a post devoted to International Fake Journal Month. One day of fake journaling is better than none. "Life's so short, why only live once?" OIFJB  The reference to "shift in place" means to take a quick side step out of your life and into the life of someone else, and let that someone else create for you.

The blog officialinternationalfakejournalblog describes the month as:
"What Is IFJM?

Basically it’s a free pass to put anything in a journal that you might not otherwise put in. At least that’s one way to see it. From April first to April 30, you are encouraged to keep a fake journal different from and outside of your regular visual journal. (Writers are welcome to participate as well, just keep a separate journal for the purpose.)"

"Take on a new persona, alter ego, or be the same person you are now, except in an alternate universe. Maybe you are a cat person and always draw cats, well for April you’ll start a fake journal and just draw birds, with a passion, as if they were the most important animal on the planet. (You can of course continue drawing cats in your real journal, if it suits you.)"

"The only catch is that you need to date your entries in present time, as you complete them, i.e., April 1, 2016, 8 p.m., April 3, 2016, 4 a.m., and so on. Oh, and it has to be a self-contained journal and you need to write it as a person" (no dogs, cats, hyenas, you get the drift ....my added language)

The Blogging Big Time

Yes, it's true, I have hit The Blogging Big Time! Good Morning America will be airing a story about bloggers and chose some participants from the AtoZ Challenge of different ages and interests. We will be flown to New York to their studio in Times Square.

After the GMA appearance, we are slated to appear on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York. Stephen has a skit involving all the bloggers.

After Colbert, we will fly back to the West Coast to Burbank, where we will appear on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Jimmy and I will perform a medley of show tunes from Mamma Mia.

Not to be left out of the action, Ellen DeGeneres will be interviewing the blogging group on her show filmed in Los Angeles. We may or may not all be given new cars or $10,000 for our appearance on her show.

To round out the leg of our Los Angeles trip, we and our significant other will be treated to a stop at The Getty Center, a renowned art museum, and take one of the Los Angeles Conservancy's walking tours to see the city's top sites and most beautiful buildings, with the option to visit the California Museum of Abnormal Arts, a venue that features the best of the underground in art, music, magic, puppetry and independent film.

Pinch me, could this be for real?
